We get a lot of questions about the Yellow 2 String Mat and its advantages, so we have put together a quick overview for you.

The Yellow 2 string mat are made with terylene string which is woven on a loom and then painted for UV protection. This mat is a lot less air-resistant than the stock standard black polymesh mat, so it gives a more responsive and higher bounce than any other backyard trampoline.

These are the mats used in trampoline competitions, clubs and gymnasiums. It is the ultimate trampoline mat usually purchased by athletes or advanced users.

Care and Maintenance

The mat can last up to 20 years if cared for with proper maintenance, otherwise the lifespan can be reduced to approximately 4 years.

These strings can be very easily damaged by sharp objects including shoes, fallen branches and pet claws. It is also important to ensure the springs are always evenly tensioned. Not properly caring for the mat can break the strings and replacement mats are very expensive.

Mats should be re-painted once yearly or twice if it is in full sun or used excessively. Our rubber-based painted mats, (selling since Aug 2014) are to be re-paint every 3 years. An un-painted mat will only last a couple of years, so be sure to repaint!

Did you know that these mats can also be purchased in Blue and Green? They are made to order which can take up to 4 to 5 weeks!!

When buying a trampoline, you may be asking, should I buy a round or rectangle trampoline? They are both fantastic trampolines for different reasons and the type you should get depends on the purpose of use and the jumpers. Here’s a quick overview of each type.

Round Trampoline

Round trampolines are fantastic for beginners and kids! They are ideal for recreational use in backyard and usually have the option to include netting which are huge drawing cards for many families.

The weight capacity varies depending on the size of the trampoline, with the larger the trampolines being able to accommodate more weight. Our 15 feet round trampoline (the largest size) has a weight capacity of 115kg.

If your jumpers are toddlers or young children, they are beginners on a trampoline! The round trampoline will accommodate for their lack of skill and better accommodate their limitations.

 

Rectangle Trampoline

Our Topline rectangular trampolines are often used by athletes for training. They are perfect for families who have competitive, professional, or Olympic aspirations as well families who just want a quality, sturdy, bouncy, long lasting trampoline.

The benefits of our Topline rectangular trampoline are that it gives the jumpers higher altitude and absorbs more force during the landing. The weight capacity is also 150kg which is a considerable amount more that the round trampolines.

Is your trampoline starting to show signs of age, but you’re not ready for a new one just yet? If you want to keep your kids jumping, it is important to maintain your trampoline to improve its life and ensure your safety. Here at Topline Trampolines, we have all of the spare parts you need to keep your trampoline bouncing!

Springs

Are some of your spring slightly over-stretched? Try swapping out these springs with some from a less active area. If the springs are more than slightly over-stretched, get new replacement springs.

Frame

It is important to occasionally remove the legs of the trampoline and check for rust. If the legs are in good condition you can spray with a rust inhibitor.

Mat

If the stitching on your black mat is unravelling, remove the mat and send it in for a re-stitch. Otherwise, if your mat is tearing or worn out you can always order a new one.

Spring Pads

If your spring pads are worn out and need replacing order some new ones to keep your kids happily bouncing.

Net

Does your safety net have some holes in it? It’s a great idea to replace the net to keep your trampoline as safe as possible. Replacement nets are available for both round and rectangle trampolines.
